The American Mutual Life Association (AMLA) is a fraternal benefit society with a mission to provide financial products for the benefit of its Members and to work to do good in the communities in which the Members live and work.
The AMLA has banded together with other fraternal organizations to hold a “Fraternal Food Drive” to put a dent in food insecurity around Northeast Ohio. In recent years, AMLA Members have contributed thousands of pounds of non-perishable food items to this fight, but it is not enough. So, we’ve coordinated with these organizations in an effort to make an overwhelming impact here.
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank works to ensure that everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day. They do this by distributing food to nearly 1,000 local food pantries, hot meal programs, shelters, mobile pantries, programs for the elderly, and other nonprofit agencies. The Food Bank also prepares nutritious meals in their on-site kitchen and assists eligible low income Northeast Ohioans with signing up for the SNAP program. In total, the Food Bank serve more than 300,000 people each year.
Throughout Northeast Ohio, one in six people are food insecure – meaning they may not know where their next meal will come from. Your support will help alleviate this uncertainty. Every dollar that we raise will help provide four meals for our neighbors in need!
