Improve Child Nutrition and Feed Hungry Kids

Dear [Decision Maker],

I urge you to invest in and strengthen programs that provide low-income children with the nutritious food they need to grow and thrive, particularly during out-of-school times. Please support the following marker bills as part of the Child Nutrition Reauthorization (CNR) process:

- The Hunger-Free Summer for Kids Act of, which provides families with more options to access kids' meals through off-site methods like grab-and-go, mobile, and backpack meal programs.
- The Summer Meals Act of 2021, which increases access to summer meal sites by adjusting requirements needed to set up and administer them.
- The Stop Child Summer Hunger Act of 2021, which makes the Summer EBT pilot a permanent, nationwide program (similar to Pandemic-EBT) by providing eligible children direct access to groceries to make up for the loss of school meals during the summer months and other periods when schools are closed.




We all agree that no child should have to worry about where their next meal will come from. Please help make that a reality by supporting these bills and passing a CNR bill that will make a difference in the lives of millions of children in Ohio and across the country.
