Increase TEFAP Funding to Support Farmers and Food Banks

Dear [Decision Maker],

I urge you to support full funding - $100 million for the TEFAP Administrative Grants account, which helps offset a portion of the expenses that food banks incur when storing and distributing TEFAP foods.

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is a critical anti-hunger program, providing nutritious fruits, vegetables, protein items, and grains to food banks across the country. Without adequate funding, food banks will be left to cover these costs during a time when more families are turning to emergency food programs for help.
