Shaker Middle School joins the Greater Cleveland Food Bank in the fight against hunger. We will host our 4th annual Soup Luncheon which will be held on March 14. This event will raise donations from students by a $1 donation for a bowl of soup or by bringing in canned goods that will be donation. This year we are also including a Virtual Food Drive as a new way to participate! You can help us reach our fundraising goal by donating to through this page.
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank works to ensure that everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day. They do this by distributing food to more than 800 local food pantries, hot meal programs, shelters, mobile pantries, programs for the elderly, and other nonprofit agencies. The Food Bank also prepares nutritious meals in their on-site kitchen and assists eligible low income Northeast Ohioans with signing up for the SNAP program. In total, the Food Bank provided more than 47 million meals last year!
Throughout Northeast Ohio, one in six people are food insecure – meaning they may not know where their next meal will come from. Your support will help alleviate this uncertainty. Every dollar that I raise will provide four meals for our neighbors in need!
