Hi everyone! We hope that everyone is doing alright in this difficult time. We at the Steve Schmidt Memorial Golf Outing were hoping to be able to hold the event this year. However, due to the Pandemic, and especially the recent resurgence, we have decided that it would be best to cancel the golf outing for this year. We do intend to pick things up again next year though, and hope to “see” all of you then!

For 2020, we are going to be doing a virtual fundraiser for the Cleveland Food Bank, with all proceeds going to the Cleveland Food Bank in Steve’s name. We felt that not only was this a good way to contribute to fighting the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, but it is also indicative of the type of person Steve was, always giving of his time and energy to so many.

There is such a need for many struggling families to put food on their tables, while also out of work and trying to pay their bills as well. The Cleveland Food Bank is a large, well respected, non-profit organization that has, and will continue to, provide food for those in need during these troubling times.

We have set a goal of $2,000 to raise for the Cleveland Food Bank. The donation period will be from July 31, 2020, through August 30, 2020.

As always, we ask that you please help us to raise money for a good cause in Steve’s name. This year, things are different, as is the case for everyone else in so many ways. It is just as important now, if not even more so, as it has always been during the past 11 Golf Outings, to try and come together as a community to celebrate Steve’s life by raising money to help others. It’s what he would have done.
