Fraternal benefit societies are coming together to host a food drive during the month of April to fight food insecurity. We are calling on all fraternal employees, members and chapters to get involved by collecting canned goods from April 1 – 30. Ohio is home to 43 fraternals and nearly 380,000 members, which makes this an amazing opportunity to make a big impact together! Societies committed to participating in the Food Drive: AMLA, KSKJ Life, FCSLA, Polish Falcons, GBU Life, Catholic Order of Foresters, Alliance of Transylvanian Saxons and Royal Arcanum.
We recognize that not everyone is able to collect and deliver goods, but may still want to support the event. For that reason, we are partnering with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to host a virtual food drive. Societies, members, and chapters can donate funds online directly to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank as part of the Fraternal Food Rally.
Should you be interested in joining forces with us and other fraternals to give back on a grand scale please donate now or reach out to info@fraternalalliance.org.
About the Greater Cleveland Food Bank:
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank works to ensure that everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day. They do this by distributing food to nearly 1,000 local food pantries, hot meal programs, shelters, mobile pantries, programs for the elderly, and other nonprofit agencies. The Food Bank also prepares nutritious meals in their on-site kitchen and assists eligible low income Northeast Ohioans with signing up for the SNAP program. In total, the Food Bank serve more than 300,000 people each year.
Throughout Northeast Ohio, one in six people are food insecure – meaning they may not know where their next meal will come from. Your support will help alleviate this uncertainty. Every dollar that we raise will help provide four meals for our neighbors in need!
